Calculators for money questions, all running in your browser so a salary, a loan balance or a card number never leaves your device. Project how compound interest grows a balance, work out a mortgage payment, add or remove VAT, check a monthly repayment, and validate a card or IBAN format. Solid estimates from standard formulas — useful for planning, not financial advice.

Frequently asked questions

How does compound interest differ from simple interest?

Simple interest is charged only on the original amount, so it grows in a straight line. Compound interest is charged on the balance including interest already added, so it grows faster and faster over time. How much faster depends on the compounding frequency — daily compounding beats annual on the same rate — which the calculator lets you set.

Does the VAT calculator add tax or take it out?

Both, and the distinction matters. Adding VAT starts from a net price and puts the tax on top; removing VAT starts from a gross price that already includes it and works backwards to the net. Using the wrong direction is a common error — removing 20% VAT from a gross price is not the same as subtracting 20% of it. The calculator does each explicitly.

Are the figures I enter kept private?

Yes. Every calculator here runs in your browser and computes on your own device, so a salary, loan amount or card number is never sent to a server. You can run real numbers through them without anything leaving your computer.
