Time Card Calculator
What is Time Card Calculator
This time card calculator turns a week of clock in and clock out times into total hours worked. Enter a start and end time for each day, take out any unpaid break, and it shows the hours for that day, the weekly total in both hours and minutes and decimal form, and your estimated pay when you add an hourly rate. Overnight shifts are handled too, so a shift from 22:00 to 06:00 counts as 8 hours. It is pure clock math, with no dates or time zones to worry about.
How to use
- Enter the start and end time for each day you worked.
- Add any unpaid break in minutes for that day.
- Type your hourly rate if you want an estimated pay figure.

- Copy the link to save or share your filled-in week.
When to use it
Filling in a weekly timesheet and tired of adding it up by hand? Put in Monday to Friday as 09:00 to 17:00 with a 60 minute lunch and you get 35 hours for the week, plus the pay at your rate. It handles a Tuesday night shift that runs to 2am the same way, so hourly workers, freelancers billing clients, and anyone tracking overtime can check the numbers in seconds.
Frequently asked questions
How does it handle overnight shifts?
If the end time is earlier than the start time, the day is treated as crossing midnight, so 22:00 to 06:00 counts as 8 hours before any break. Enter the times exactly as you clocked in and out and the math works itself out.
Are breaks paid or unpaid?
The break field is for unpaid time. Whatever minutes you enter there are subtracted from that day, so a 09:00 to 17:30 shift with a 30 minute break comes to 8 hours. Leave it at zero if your breaks are paid.
How is the estimated pay calculated?
It multiplies your total weekly hours by the hourly rate you enter and rounds to two decimals. The rate is optional, so leave it blank if you only need the hours. It does not add overtime multipliers or tax.
