Frequently asked questions
How is the age calculated?
The calculator subtracts your birth date from today's date. It counts full calendar years, then full months, then remaining days — so 1 year and 2 months means exactly 12 months have completed, not just 12.x months.
What does 'total days alive' mean?
It is the total number of calendar days from your birth date to today, counting every day including leap years. A 30-year-old has typically lived around 10,950 days.
How accurate is the zodiac sign?
The zodiac sign is determined by the standard Western astrological date ranges. For example, Aries runs from March 21 to April 19. If you were born on a cusp date, the time of birth can affect which sign applies, but the calculator uses the standard date boundaries.
What generations are used?
The calculator uses widely accepted birth year ranges: Silent Generation (born ≤ 1945), Baby Boomers (1946–1964), Generation X (1965–1980), Millennials (1981–1996), Generation Z (1997–2012), Generation Alpha (2013+).
