Split PDF
What is Split PDF
This tool splits a PDF right in your browser. Load a file, see its page count, then either extract a custom selection of pages into one new PDF or turn every page into a separate single-page file delivered as a ZIP. Pages are copied without recompression, so quality stays untouched, and because everything runs locally the file is never uploaded to a server.
How to use
- Drop your PDF into the tool or click to pick one; the page count appears right away.
- Choose a mode: extract specific pages, or split every page into its own file.
- Type a page range such as 1-3, 5, 8-10 if you are extracting; the order you type is the order in the result.
- Download the new PDF, or the ZIP with one PDF per page in split-all mode.
When to use it
Need to send just the signed part of a contract? Type 12-14 and you get a new PDF with only the signature section out of the 40-page original. It also works the other way: split a scanned batch into single pages and keep only what you need.
Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is processed entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing leaves your device and no copy of the file ever reaches a server.
How do I write a page range?
Use comma-separated page numbers and ranges, for example 1-3, 5, 8-10. Pages land in the order you type them, so 5, 1-2 puts page 5 first, and you can repeat a page if you want it twice.
Does splitting reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. Pages are copied into the new file without recompression, so text, images and vector content stay exactly as they were.
How do I get every page as a separate file?
Switch to the split-all mode. Each page becomes its own single-page PDF and they all download together in one ZIP file.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. The tool cannot open encrypted files, so remove the password first and then load the unlocked PDF.
