What is EXIF Metadata Editor
This editor lets you change the metadata stored inside a JPEG photo. It reads the existing EXIF, pre-fills the fields, and lets you set or clear the description, author, copyright, software, camera make and model, the date the photo was taken, and the GPS coordinates. Fields you do not touch, and camera settings like ISO or aperture, are preserved. Everything runs in your browser, so the photo is never uploaded.
How to use
- Drop a JPEG onto the box or click to choose a file.
- Existing metadata appears in the fields. Edit any value, or clear it to remove that tag.
- Set or remove the GPS location with the latitude and longitude fields.
- Click Apply changes to download the edited photo.
When to use it
Handing a client a batch of photos and want your name and copyright baked in? Load an image, set the Author to your studio and the Copyright line, and download it ready to deliver. You can also fix a wrong capture date or drop a fake GPS point onto a picture for testing, all without any desktop software.

Which fields can I edit?
Description, artist/author, copyright, software, camera make and model, the date taken, and GPS latitude/longitude. Leave a field empty to delete that tag from the file.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and rewritten entirely in your browser with JavaScript. It never leaves your device.
Does editing one field erase the rest of the metadata?
No. Tags you do not edit, including camera settings like ISO, shutter speed and lens, are carried through to the new file unchanged. Only the fields you change are affected.
What file formats are supported?
EXIF editing works on JPEG (.jpg/.jpeg) files, which is where EXIF is standard. PNG and other formats are not supported for editing.
