What is Flag Guessing Game
The flag guessing game shows you a country flag and challenges you to name it against the clock. It covers all 193 UN member countries in two modes: easy gives you 4 options to pick from, hard makes you type the country name yourself. You choose a round of 1, 3 or 5 minutes and answer as many flags as you can before time runs out. A wrong answer just reveals the country and moves on, it never ends the round, and your best score per mode and length is saved on your device.
How to use
- Pick a round length: 1, 3 or 5 minutes.
- Choose a mode: easy (choose from 4 options) or hard (type the name).
- Name as many flags as you can before the timer runs out. In hard mode, accents and small typos are forgiven.
- A wrong answer reveals the country and moves on, so keep going and beat your saved record.
When to use it
Think you can tell Chad from Romania at a glance? Their flags are nearly identical, and that split-second hesitation is what costs you points when the clock is ticking. Great for geography practice, quiz prep, or settling who at the table really knows their flags in 60 seconds.

How does scoring work?
You pick a 1, 3 or 5 minute round and score one point for each flag you name correctly. A wrong answer costs no points and does not end the round, it just reveals the country and moves to the next flag, so the goal is to name as many as you can before time runs out.
How many flags are in the game?
All 193 UN member countries. The order is shuffled every round, so no two games repeat the same sequence, and the pool reshuffles once you have seen every flag.
Does typing mode accept small mistakes?
Yes. Accents never count against you, and longer names tolerate a small typo or two. Very short names like Chad need to be exact, otherwise a lucky guess would be too easy. The English name is always accepted too.
Where are my records stored?
In your browser's local storage, on your device only, kept separately for each mode and round length. Nothing is sent to a server. Clearing your browser data resets your records.
Can I share my score?
Yes. When time is up, tap Share result. On phones this opens the native share sheet; on desktop it copies a ready-made message with your score and the game link.
